Leicester Kung Fu – Tai Gik Koon is run by Master Gordon Hooke, a 7th Degree Master. Gordon has 40 years of training in Tiger Kung Fu.
The style of Kung Fu that we train in, is a modern combat Kung Fu, put together by Leicester’s Bob Johnson before Bruce Lee had made a name for himself in the UK.
Beginners, Experienced Martial Artists, Men, Women and Children are all welcome and all new-comers get their first lesson for free.

Martial Art Styles
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at Leicester Kung Fu – Tai Gik Koon:

Programs & Class Schedule
Kung Fu lessons are held at on Mondays and Thursdays from 7.30pm till 9.30pm, each lesson consists of 2 hours of structured training.
A typical structure is:
45 minutes of warming up which includes short arm press ups, form drills and “punching in” (a drill to practise our techniques on each other, during which the instructor will explain application of technique and how a student might improve their methods).
30 minutes of speed training, there is lot of emphasis on speed training as this is an extremely fast style.
A short break.
The last part of the lesson is spent conditioning, performing more speed drills and learning new techniques and forms.
Beginners, Experienced Martial Artists, Men, Women and Children are all welcome and all new-comers get their first lesson for free.
