Since 1995, Bonsai Martial Arts has been operating in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. It offers it’s students a traditional Okiniwan based Karate system that encompasses Self-Defence, Sparring (fighting), Kobudo (Weapons) & Kata (the essence of Shorin Karate).
Our Dojo is committed to high quality Black Belt Instruction, a 4:1 student teacher ratio as well as a learning environment that is fun, supportive and family oriented. All of our students are taught effective methods of self-defence and our well developed curriculum makes this possible for any age and fitness level. Shorin-Ryu Karate is a fighting and self-defence system steeped in a tradition that has been passed down from teacher to student for centuries. At Bonsai we strive to continue teaching this system of Karate to our students.

5:30pm – 6:00pm Little Dragons (ages 4 to 6)
6:05pm – 7:00pm Novice Youth (ages 7 to 13, ranks white to blue/black)
7:00pm – 8:30pm Novice Adult (ages 14+, ranks white to blue/black)
8:30pm – 9:30pm Black Belt
Tuesdays & Thursdays :
6:05pm – 7:00pm Advanced Youth (ages 7 to 13, ranks green and up)
7:00pm – 8:30pm Advanced Adult (ages 14+, ranks green and up)
8:30pm – 9:30pm Karaté en Français (élèves franco, tout âge, tout niveau)
Fridays
5:30pm – 6:00pm Little Dragons (ages 4 to 6)
6:05pm – 7:00pm Novice Open (all ages, ranks white to blue/black)
7:00pm – 8:30pm Advanced Open (all ages, ranks green and up)

Saturdays
