Notre club prit naissance en janvier en 1986 à l’Université de Montréal avec Sensei Richard Goulet (5e Dan), qui est en encore aujourd’hui l’instructeur en chef. Le KENDO (KEN : sabre, DO : voie – la voie du sabre), est une forme d’escrime pour hommes et femmes de tous âges. Notre club propose un KENDO traditionnel puisant ses influences dans les techniques de combats de sabres libres avec protections, autrefois appelé GEKIKEN.
Our club was founded in January 1986 at the University of Montreal with Sensei Richard Goulet (5th Dan), who remains the chief instructor to this day. KENDO (KEN: sword, DO: way – the way of the sword), is a form of fencing suited for men and women of all ages. Our club proposes traditional KENDO, drawing influences from free-form combat with protections, formerly called GEKIKEN.
