The Swimming Dragon School of Sun Style Tai Chi (Taijiquan) was set up in Porthcawl near Bridgend, South Wales in 2000, the Chinese year of the Dragon, to research and promote the martial arts of the Chinese Master Sun Lutang.
The objective is to preserve what was taught by this great master, which is his version of all three of the main internal martial arts of China.
Tai Chi (Taijiquan) – Grand Ultimate Fist.
Xing Yi Quan – Form and Mind Fist
Bagua Quan – Eight Diagrams Palm

Programs & Class Schedule
The Swimming Dragon School teaches the internal martial arts Neijia which is a softer style than Wajia.
Neijia is more suited to a defensive style rather than attacking.
Our class is the only one of it’s kind in Wales that expertly teaches the internal martial arts methods of Chinese martial arts master Sun Lutang and Japanese martial arts master Morihei Ushiba.
Practice is very relaxed and friendly, we do not include falls or competition in our training. Members will train together and cooperate to develop their self defence skills. Due to the syllabus being extensive and requires dedication and focus to learn pupils must be over 11.
