Self Defence Classes – Jeet Kune Do – Mixed Martial Arts
Body shape/size does not matter. My class emphasises self defence on the assumption that your opponent is larger and stronger than you.
Jeet Kune Do or JKD is a mixed martial art, the concept created by Bruce Lee in 1967.
Like Bruce Lee the style of self defence I teach relies heavily on the principles of Wing Chun.
Wing Chun was invented around 250 years ago by a nun from the Shaolin Temple. It was designed to help the weak defeat the strong. The basic principles are simple and effective.
Training to suit the individual, my classes do not require you to be physically fit and strong. I have been studying martial arts for over 25 years.
I will develop your confidence, awareness and ability to defend yourself, without complicating everything with lengthy forms and drills.
If you are interested in learning JKD please call me. Be advised that at present I am only teaching on a one to one basis either at your home or mine. I charge £5 for the initial session and then £10 per hour for any further tuition. I specialize in teaching beginners and individuals who have no experience in martial arts. If you want to learn how to defend yourself quickly without the need to become exceptionally fit give me a call.
