Led by black belt Israel Costa, BJJ takes place every Monday and Thursday 7.30pm – 9pm at West Midlands Creation Centre, Unit 8, Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley St, Digbeth B5 5RT.
The sessions are open to men and women, beginners up to advanced. Participants can use this class to help train as fighters and BJJ is particularly good for women’s self-defense techniques.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu uses locks, chokes and throws to take control of the opponent, aiming for submission. The class includes drills (position and technique repetition training), position and movement development and finishes with sparring; often referred to as ‘rolling’.
We also provide self-defense classes for individuals or groups. Please contact us for more info.
