West Dorset Wing Chun is affiliated with East Anglia Wing Chun Athletic under Chief Instructor, Master Brian Desir, who has been teaching Wing Chun for over 30 years, and has had the privilege of being taught by many of the Top Grandmasters.
Our classes are focussed on Traditional Ip Man Wing Chun and taught by Sifu JJ Hughes, who has been training under Sifu Brian since September 2002. Our classes are taught at all levels, suited to beginners and advance level practitioners.
Wing Chun is a traditional Chinese martial art, and an effective form of self defence in today’s modern world. Specialising in close range combat, the movements are simple yet extremely effective regardless of strength and size. Wing Chun is a very relevant form of self defence for today, dealing with not just hand to hand combat, but also defences against weaponry and multiple attackers.

First class is free of charge, then £7.00 per class thereafter.
After 3-4 classes to see if Wing Chun is of interest, membership is required for insurance purposes.
Classes are predominantly adult based due to the times of the classes, however do contact us if you would like more information about classes for children.
