Welcome to AKS. We are a group of karate schools based in Bishop’s Stortford, Cambourne and Royston providing professional tuition in traditional and sport karate.
Our students work to a structured progressive grading syllabus from beginner to black belt. This includes Wado-Ryu and Shito-Ryu traditional karate, practical self-defence, free sparring, WKF sport karate and fitness circuit training.
We teach children and adults – students train in class groups tailored to suit their age and ability. The lessons are held in a disciplined, fun and respectful environment. Karate builds confidence, strength, stamina, awareness, speed and reaction.
AKS has a high standard of belt gradings and a successful National Level Squad. Advanced students have access to teaching opportunities, national coach and referee qualifications and England selections.
Royston classes are taught by Sensei Rafal Ratuszniak 2nd Dan. EKF Coach Accredited, DBS, First Aid certificated and Public Liability insured. AKS is a registered association with the English Karate Federation (EKF) Governing Body. Affiliated to the World Karate Federation (WKF) – Olympic Karate Tokyo 2020!
